Huawei Mate 9 – All You Need to Know
In an event organized in in Munich, Huawei unveiled its flagship Mate 9 device to the world. It is a phablet going to pick up the legacy of its predecessor Mate 8 that was one of the best devices Android has ever produced. But, as we shall see, this Mate 9 has all it takes to break through on the market, particularly when its main competitor has been pulled off the shelves.
It is made in two different versions, one of which is realized in collaboration with Porsche Design, which differs from the “standard” device by the resolution of the display (as well as for some aesthetic detail). Here are its technical specifications

In short, it’s a high end smartphone without any compromise whatsoever by the Chinese brand. We have several new features too – the new rapid charging standard patented by the Chinese company called Supercharge, a powerful Kirin 960 CPU and a crisp 2K resolution (though only in the Porsche Design variant).
The presence of dual rear camera has been confirmed with two sensors of 20MP and 12MP respectively, supported by a Dual-Tone LED Flash, laser autofocus and an optical image stabilizer. It also introduces the ability to shoot videos in 4K resolution and perform 2X optical simulated zoom (a solution similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus). Huawei have collaborated with Leica for this feature.
As usual we take a look at its build and construction quality. So it has a body made entirely of brushed aluminum, a feature that has become a trademark for the Chinese company. Mate 9 is not very different from the iPhone 7 Plus despite having a 5.9 inch display (compared to the 5.5-inch Apple phablet).
